Yesterday’s weather was GORGEOUS so we took advantage and made the hour drive to New Milford to hit up their big flea market, Elephant’s Trunk. If you aren’t familiar with Elephant’s Trunk, it’s a huge outdoor flea market that can have anywhere from up to 500 vendors, along with various local food trucks, and sometimes Flea Market Flip will even be filming an episode. I might have seen a famous person there today, but, privacy rules, so no names. But, just know that I fangirled in my head, memorize their outfit, and then gushed to everyone in the car later, lol.
Parking is super easy, with large open fields, that are pretty well organized and labeled. There’s even a “pick-up/loading” area at the front of the lot by the entrance for loading large purchases.
Admission is $2, unless you come early, then it costs you $20, to enter at 5:45am, or $40 (!) to enter at 4:45am. Y’all. No. I mean no judgement on those that do get up that early, because those are the ones that will get the good stuff, but I choose sleep. There’s also an ATM on site, which if you forget cash to pay for your admission ::cough:: US ::cough:: they are gracious enough to let you pop in and get money.
We ended up only buying for the Tiny People today, but I did take a few photos to show you how amazing (and creepy) this place is:

If you find yourself up this way, make it a point to visit on one of their open weekends. It’s a great place for treasure hunting or even just browsing.
