One of the best things about moving to New England is getting to experience fall in a L.L. Bean catalog sort of way. I’ve been here five years and am still in awe of all the colors that pop up during this time of year. I never knew the leaves could be so vibrant. That the air would just smell like fall. And of course it wouldn’t be fall if we didn’t go pumpkin picking!
Enter Strawberry Hollow Farm. I mean, LOOK AT IT. It’s GORGEOUS. You pull up, you pick, you take photos, you browse the charming store while you pay and it’s all just so lovely.
A co-worker recommended this place to us, in lieu of the bigger, more kid-focused pumpkin patch that’s in the area. The bigger place has been our go-to for the past couple of years, as they have tons of activities for the kids, a full market, and food trucks, but it’s also very crowded. Which is great– yay local business! — but I wanted a more relaxed experience this year. No large crowds. No parking a half mile away. Just a place to enjoy the weather and pick some pumpkins and mums. Perfection, no?
Happy Fall, y’all!
