Since moving to Connecticut, hiking has become one of our favorite weekend excursions for the family. There are hundreds of trails to explore and in these Quarantine Times, these weekend adventures have become our outlet to get out and get moving. You can read about the start of the series HERE.
With rain in the forecast this past weekend, we decided to stay closer to home and take advantage of some of the wooded walking trails in Orange, CT. Nestled in a residential neighborhood, the Wepawaug Trail is part of the land owned by the Orange Land Trust, the Town of Orange, and Camp Cedarcrest. The full trail is less than two miles, but it provides gorgeous scenery that includes a bridge, several creeks, and lots of slightly off the path resting places. Most of the walk was completely shaded and cool, despite the warm and muggy temperature of the season.
I feel like I say this every time, but this trail is now one of my favorites and I hope we go back very soon.
